An interest becomes a passion.

What started out as curiosity about wood working and blacksmithing grew into a passion.

A few years ago my family and I bought an interest in a Timber King sawmill and decided to build a barn house from trees growing on our small farm.

Fortunately, we have a lot of aromatic eastern cedar trees and we built the frame from that. Over the years we spent weekends and holidays working on it and eventually it was finished.

None of us had done much woodworking before that but it sparked an interest and I began building doors, tables, mantles, etc.

A desire to learn welding and steel fabrication resulted in adding steel components to the furniture.

A gift from my wife, Jen, of a blacksmithing class expanded the playbook and now we are adding some hand forged touches.

I still have a full time regular job so most of our pieces are built on commission but we will soon be adding some smaller projects to make full use of the wood from the trees we cut down

Appreciate your support.

Rob
